Data We Hold

Metadata describes the data we hold. We keep detailed Metadata about individual Datasets supplied to us, including the type of species covered, the number of records included, who owns the data and where and when the records were collected.

Please note that we apply standard restrictions to all records of certain sensitive species. Details are given in our policy on Data Sourcing, Management and Use. If a data supplier has requested that additional restrictions be applied to a dataset this is indicated by a Restricted Icon next to the dataset. If you are unsure what level of access you have to a dataset then please contact us for clarification.
