Cudyll Cymru is a newly developed scheme which monitors raptors (birds of prey) in Wales. Learn more about the project and its vital work, and find out how to get involved – whatever your skill level and experience.

Our neighbouring Local Environmental Centre - Biodiversity Information Service for Powys & Brecon Beacons National Park - is looking for a Biodiversity and GIS Data Officer with the skills to manage and enhance their dataholding and to carry out spatial analysis to make the data they hold go further.

This is a full-time permanent role (part-time working would be considered) giving the opportunity to work in a well-established and forward thinking Local Environmental Records Centre as part of a network of four Welsh record centres.

Conwy are looking for an Assistant Country Park Warden to compliment their Open Spaces Section.

The role will assist in the management and conservation of the natural and archaeological heritage of the Great Orme Country Park and Local Nature Reserve, in the promotion of the sustainable enjoyable an understanding of these features by the public.

The 2024 Annual Conference will be held in Aberystwyth (same location as 2022 and 2023), on Saturday 16th November. The conference will showcase current project research across Wales by amateurs and professionals, with a focus on community-based conservation projects.

By invitation of Rob and Julie Eddowes who have 20a of mainly unimproved grassland. The land also has a scrub and wetland area, a pond and stream. A traditional hay crop is taken annually in August/September. No fertilisers or herbicides have been applied for over 25 years. The meadows have not been seeded, consist of natural vegetation and has a waxcap score of 24, which includes 17 species.
